POLBEETA (aka Dmitriy R.) was born in Odessa, city on the black sea, well known for its lavish nightlife and entertainment industry. Polbeeta started deejaying at the tender age of 12, working school parties and events. After arriving in Chicago in 1996 he joined an already significant army of house music lovers, eventually expending his taste to deep, tech and minimal sound.
Polbeeta joined Sound-bar as a resident DJ in 2007, shortly after received a two-year residency at Chicago’s legendary CROBAR. And in the next few years had a chance to play at Chicago’s Top rated nightlife and music venues (Spy Bar, Vision, The MID)
In the past year Polbeeta become a regular guest DJ on the world’s most influential electronic radio stations: Proton Radio, MinimalStation.de, 1Club.FM.
His recent successes include sharing the decks with world renowned DJs: Fedde Le Grand, Infected Mushroom, Reference, Robbie Rivera, BT, Morgan Page, Moguai, Dirty South and many more. Polbeeta can be often seen performing at underground events by Chicago’s top promotional company “Swing Shift” playing alongside such house music legends as Derrick Carter, Gene Farris, DIZ, Andre Harris and other heavy hitters.
Polbeeta dedicated most of 2010/11 to the underground techno/minimal scene working on a new series “BubbleHead Test 1 & 2” (Counterfeit Fun Records).
Dance music never stops evolving and expanding so is Polbeeta’s play list and productions. His musical style matures with the culture, which has allowed him to become a household name in mixing various types of electronic audio stimuli.
Whether he’s rocking it out at Chicago’s Top Clubs or intimate, underground parties - Polbeeta works hard at his craft, tirelessly expanding his knowledge of the art; each song is handpicked, creating unique and unforgettable music experience.
